\nOh that’s just fine. Where were you when Ma and Daddy needed you? It’s too late, Mal. Now you finally show

Now Slick comes down the stairs behind Rae, pulling on his jacket. Mal glares at him; this is who can buy his sister

SLICK
\nAre you all right, Rae?<\/p>\n
RAE
\nYeah, I’m okay.<\/p>\n
Slick seems unperturbed by Mal’s glare. To Rae —<\/p>\n
SLICK
\nWill you introduce me to your friend?<\/p>\n
RAE
\nHe’s not my friend. He used to be my brother.<\/p>\n
SLICK
\n(offers his hand to Mal)
\nCalvin Stanhope… but my mother called me Slick.<\/p>\n
Mal just looks at the proffered hand. Slick retracts it without offense.<\/p>\n
